Hostinger is worth shortlisting for a small business website if its renewal cost, backup schedule, and resource limits fit your needs. A low introductory rate alone is not enough reason to commit to several years of hosting. Compare the complete checkout total and the cost of keeping the website running after the first term.

Who should consider Hostinger?

A portfolio, brochure website, or small publishing project can have straightforward hosting requirements. Begin with the number of websites, storage needs, recovery arrangements, and the budget available at renewal. A store or booking website needs a stricter assessment: decide how much lost data and downtime you can tolerate. We have not established how Hostinger performs under your store’s workload.

Current pricing: introductory cost versus renewal

The US-dollar web-hosting page checked on October 7, 2026 listed these 48-month offers: Premium at $2.99 per month equivalent, $143.52 upfront, renewing at $10.99 per month; Unlimited at $3.99, $191.52 upfront, renewing at $16.99; and Cloud Startup at $7.99, $383.52 upfront, renewing at $25.99. This is a dated snapshot, not a guaranteed quote. Source: Hostinger’s web-hosting plans.

Hostinger states that plans are paid upfront. Confirm your country, currency, billing term, taxes, and optional extras in checkout. Compare offers using the same period. A four-year headline rate is not directly comparable with another provider’s monthly subscription.

Calculate your first-term budget separately from your renewal budget: hosting payment plus domain charges, paid email, and necessary add-ons. Exclude features you will not use from the decision instead of treating a longer feature list as automatic value.

Features that matter to a small business

The checked plan cards listed three websites, 20 GB SSD storage, and weekly backups for Premium. Unlimited listed 50 GB NVMe storage and daily backups. Cloud Startup listed 100 GB NVMe storage and daily plus on-demand backups. Domain and mailbox offers included first-year benefits; unlimited features remain subject to fair-use rules. Verify the exact included features before buying.

Backup frequency affects how much recent work you could lose. A weekly recovery point may be acceptable for rarely updated pages but less suitable for frequently changing content or customer orders. Keep an independent recovery plan and test restoration before relying on any backup arrangement.

Check renewal and refund terms

The refund policy contains product-specific exclusions and special conditions. Domain renewals and successful domain transfers are among the non-refundable items; a bundled free domain may affect the amount returned. What this review cannot establish

We cannot give a defensible performance score or promise a loading time from pricing pages. Vendor descriptions do not replace independent measurements. Before migrating an important site, test a copy with its actual theme, plugins, images, forms, and checkout. Verify email delivery and a complete backup restore as well.

Our verdict

Shortlist Hostinger if the complete long-term cost is affordable and the selected plan meets your recovery and resource requirements. Choose by the needs of the website, not the discount percentage. Resolve migration and recovery questions before paying.
